In the fifth centenary of Raphael's death the Associazione Premio Eleanor Worthington-ODV wanted to join in the celebrations which in Urbino, Raphael's birthplace, mark this anniversary.
The theme "INCLUSION OF DISABILITY IN RAPHAEL'S WORK" is inspired by the many examples of disability in Raphael's work: from the boy suffering from epilepsy, in the "Transfiguration", to the magician Elima suddenly binded, in the Cartoon for tapestry for the Sistine Chapel, to the healing of the lame man, in the Cartoon for tapestry for the Sistine Chapel, to the blind poet Homer in the Parnassus, in the fresco in the Vatican Rooms, to the old man carried on shoulders, in the fresco in the Vatican Rooms.
Disability is included in the harmony which characterizes Raphael's world.
